How Fanlayer Integrates
Persistent identity. Minimal disruption.
Fanlayer is designed to be operationally invisible. We add a persistent digital layer to physical products without requiring new platforms, factory redesigns, or internal system replacements.
It Fits Into Existing Workflows
We did not invent new behaviors. We formalized the ones your brand already uses.
For Consumers: They already tap products with their phones.
For Manufacturers: They already integrate labels, tags, and inserts.
For Brands: They already route signals into CRM and analytics systems.
Fanlayer embeds identity into these existing motions.
Manufacturing: The "Insert-and-Go" Model
Identity components arrive provisioned and sealed. Your manufacturer performs a standard insert, sew-in, or attach step, identical to integrating any other trim or label.
Fanlayer handles: UID issuance, Lifecycle state control, and Cryptographic configuration.
Licensees handle: Selecting the target SKU, Defining placement constraints, Integrating during normal assembly.
There is no factory-floor UID encoding. No cryptographic key management. No chip configuration on site. UID issuance and lifecycle control are governed server-side before components reach production.
Nothing else changes.
Consumer Interaction: Zero Friction
Fanlayer leverages the hardware already in your customer’s pocket.
Native Verification: Occurs instantly in a mobile web environment.
No Required App: Zero friction for the end user.
No Required Account: Verification is tied to the object, not the user.
Fanlayer verifies the product. The brand defines what happens next.
-
Fanlayer is built on cryptographically verifiable identity, moving beyond static identifiers like QR codes or open NFC tags that are easily cloned.
The NTAG 424 DNA Standard: We utilize NTAG 424 DNA architecture, the industry benchmark for security. Each tag generates a unique, one-time-use cryptographic code on every tap. Even if a signal is intercepted, it cannot be reused to spoof the product.
Server-Side Handshake: Verification happens through a secure, server-side handshake. This allows Fanlayer to confirm the originality and lifecycle state of the unit in real-time, without requiring the brand to manage complex encryption keys or hardware security modules (HSMs).
Cloning Prevention: Because the identity is derived from the chip’s internal logic rather than a printed URL, it is mathematically shielded from bulk duplication and "replay" attacks common with standard NFC or QR labels.
Fanlayer maintains the integrity of the digital signal. Licensees define the physical security requirements and legal ownership policies.
Enterprise System Integration
Fanlayer is a neutral signal provider. We do not replace your stack; we provide verified product signals that your systems can reference as deterministic truth.
Verified signals are routed into existing ERP, CRM, POS, or analytics systems via dashboards or APIs. You decide which systems receive identity data and how lifecycle state is interpreted.
Fanlayer supplies the signal. Licensees define the logic.
Pilot Integration Path
Most integrations begin with a single SKU. This allows teams to validate placement, confirm verification flow, and assess lifecycle visibility before expanding across categories.
For brands without NFC-capable partners, Fanlayer can introduce vetted OEM pathways under NDA.
Evaluate Feasibility
To begin an exploratory integration discussion, we typically review:
One target SKU.
One placement constraint.
One manufacturing context.
We are currently scoping 2026 pilot engagements with brands and licensors evaluating persistent product identity infrastructure.
